The fastest way is by air travel. Air Madagascar is the only company that deserts Maroantsetra. The flight lasts 1 hour.
Private Aircrafts are also an option.
We have maritime transportation, SAVANANAH IV and SAVANNAH V, which leaves from Tamatave. The sailing time with Savannah IV is estimated to 20 hours, depending on weather conditions when it's about 06 hours with Savannah V. The tariff varies from 130 000 Ariary to 250 000 Ariary (meals and refreshments on board included).
Built by Austral, a ship constructor, Savannah V is a high speed ship of 31 meter width and 8,70 meter height. With a capacity of carrying 264 passengers, it links Tamatave to Maroantsetra via Sainte Marie and Mananara. You will travel with the comfort of an air-conditioned cabin. There are 15 crew members who will be at your service during your cruise to ensure that you have a pleasant journey. For entertainment, we do have a variety of video on board. To top it up, our Snack Bar will be at your disposal if you need to unwind the day with a couple of drinks and some bites all the way during the trip.
We also have a fast boat, SINGATO, for all transfers from Soanierana Ivongo or Sainte Marie to Maroantsetra. Feel free to contact us for more information.
For adventure seekers, land transport – not very practical during the rainy season – lasts 5 days. The 4x4 leave from Tamatave, pass by Soanierana Ivongo and Mananara to reach Maroantsetra.
